FAQ
Scaffolding and access: answers to your questions

Which scaffolding system should you choose: frame or rosette?

Frame scaffolding: Ideal for linear, repetitive work, frame scaffolding is made of prefabricated structures that easily lock together. Quick to assemble and cost-effective, it does, however, limit possible configurations and can restrict circulation. Bricklayers are especially fond of it: they can store bricks and blocks directly on the frames or integrated ladders, minimizing unnecessary movement.

Rosette scaffolding: This modular system connects around a central point called a rosette, offering great flexibility to adapt to almost any geometry. Wide, unobstructed platforms make circulation and wall access easier. It is the preferred choice for façade restoration projects that require moving heavy loads or handling large stone units.

Which scaffolding system should you choose: suspended or mast-climbing?

Suspended scaffolding (swing stage): Can be installed quickly from the roof, freeing up ground space for pedestrians or logistics. A cost-effective short-term solution, ideal for light work on one level at a time. Load capacity is around 1,000 pounds. Limitation: it is sensitive to windy conditions, which can cause the platform to sway.

Mast-climbing work platform: Requires a solid base and ground space, but offers a comfortable and safe work area with a high load capacity. Allows several workers to operate with tools and materials at the same time. Cost-effective for long-term projects on the same façade, with easy level changes. Installation and relocation take longer, but the investment pays off for large-scale projects.
