Restoration of the Main Entrance
Repointing is necessary because as joints deteriorate, rainwater starts to seep through. During freeze-thaw cycles, any water that has not evaporated freezes and can cause damage to the masonry.
We cleaned and polished the bronze door and lamp posts.
We completely took apart and rebuilt the sleeper walls and stairs.
We repaired the stone and chimneys on the roof and replaced damaged stones.
