Historical Masonry Restoration
Challenging water table stones dismantling and Cintec anchor installation. A versatile method of structural reinforcement that is tailored to meet the specific strengthening and repair requirements of historical buildings.
Damaged masonry elements have been replaced or repaired by Dutchman. Our masons also repaired cracks and repointed mortar. Pin and fill repairs, dress back and scaling.
Stones façades were cleaned and restored with two methods. Poultice cleaning and laser ablation. A poultice is a liquid cleaner or chemical mixed with a absorbent material to form a paste about the consistency of peanut butter which is spread over the stained areas. Laser ablation is a process through which a pulsed laser deposits a certain amount of energy on a surface and it removes the material by evaporation or sublimation.
The use of BIM360 software allowed the identification, modeling and labeling of masonry elements requiring interventions.
