Complete Replacement of the Concrete Cladding

Installation of GFRC Panels

We installed lightweight GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) panels. Each one was securely attached to the structure using over 10,000 anchors drilled directly into the concrete. These anchors supported the vertical load and prevented any lateral movement.

Custom Hoisting System

To facilitate installation, we used a hoist specifically adapted to the constraints of the site. This custom system allowed us to safely lift the panels while the team coordinated their positioning with precision.

Precise and Safe Installation

The team worked in full coordination, with the hoist lifting the panels from the ground and setting them precisely in their intended locations. Operators stationed on Fraco mast-climbing platforms monitored and guided the hoist throughout the operation. This method ensured a smooth workflow despite the complexity of the task.

Sealing and Waterproofing

We fully redid the caulking joints between the panels to ensure complete waterproofing of the façade. In addition to protecting the structure, this sealing work contributes to energy efficiency by reducing heat loss, in accordance with plans by Lemay, ABCP architectes, and the structural engineering firm.

Reinforced Expertise

This was one of our first major GFRC projects. We learned a lot from it, including how to manage a large number of anchors and install numerous panels. A rich experience that strengthened our expertise.
