Facade Restoration on Parliament Hill
Dismantling and reconstruction of buttresses and weathering bands. Core consolidation and stone replacements.
Historic masonry and joints cleaning, using a new laser technology, developed in Canada. Masonry laser cleaning makes it possible to simultaneously clean carbon deposits and biofilms with a single laser system, without damaging the original stones.
Stone replacements, Dutchman, pin and fill repairs, crack repairs and repointing
The areas that needed repair were modeled using BIM 360 technology. This allowed for track/tag of the elements that required our masonry repair intervention, as well as the monitoring of our progress.
