Building Enveloppe Renovation
Brick Dismantling and Reconstruction
Certain sections of brick walls needed reconstruction. Our team of expert masons dismantled the old bricks that were deteriorating, reinforced the backing and installed new bricks where it was needed. Our masons also reconstructed the brick rosette.
Replastering
A thin layer of mortar, called plaster, was spread over the brickwork surface to serve as a damp-proof layer. Plastering gives the masonry a smooth, hard finished surface, which improves the building's appearance. Plastering serves the main purposes of shielding the surface from airborne contaminants, hiding masonry flaws, covering porous materials, and creating a surface that is appropriate for painting.
Minor window restorations and flashing replacements
The windows and their surrounding were corroded. Our team fixed the caulking joints and mastic joints around the windows. Poorly installed or deteriorated metal flashing can cause water infiltration and masonry deterioration.

Brick repointing is a masonry technique used to fix the mortar joints between the stone and the brick blocks. Age, moisture, and weathering can cause mortar joints to deteriorate over time. This is done to preserve the structure and prevent water damages.
