Intra-wall work and masonry repairs
The bricks were in poor condition due to the exposure to strong winds and precipitation. The technical challenge of this project was the staining of the bricks in order to ensure uniformity in the color of the facades. The brick staining was carried out by specialists in masonry cleaning and color matching. Several color trials were carried out before finding the formula for a satisfying end result.
Brick wall repointing consists of carefully redoing the joints after stripping them.
The brick replacement work was divided into two operations: some areas were to be replaced entirely and other areas were subject to the replacement of specific bricks, identified during marking days with our engineering consultant.
