Atwill-Morin is proud to announce that it has received the 2026 Heritage Award from Côte-de-Beaupré in the Conservation and Preservation – Institutional Project category, for its masonry restoration work on the Maison de la Petite-Ferme.
Nestled in the heart of the Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area and managed by the Canadian Wildlife Service, the Maison de la Petite-Ferme is a true gem of Quebec’s built heritage. Completed for Public Services and Procurement Canada, this project stood out for the complexity of the work required to preserve the building’s authenticity while respecting highly demanding environmental constraints.
The work involved a full repair of the exterior envelope, requiring the exclusive use of period-appropriate materials and techniques, including limewash, wood, and natural stone, in order to preserve the building’s authenticity.
Beyond the technical complexity, the project was also distinguished by rigorous planning that took into account the migratory bird nesting season on site, in order to minimize the impact of the work on their habitat throughout the project.
This recognition reflects the talent and dedication of our teams, who are able to meet the most complex challenges with rigor, expertise, and respect for heritage.
We warmly thank the jury of the Côte-de-Beaupré Heritage Awards for this recognition.
